After the arrival of Nilam Sawhney as the chief secretary of the Andhra Pradesh state, the administration in the state is moving at a war foot, thanks to this IAS officer's dynamism. Off late, the chief secretary has shunted two officials, Assistant Secretary Jayaram and S O Achayya.

The notices were issued in the name of chief secretary on the suspension of two bureaucrats for the wrongdoing in a vigilance inquiry against the former APDC MD Venkayya Chaudhary malpractices in the Vigilance who issued the order, suspend who was accused of severe malpractices in the profession.

The two officials were asked not to leave the Amaravati city till the legal proceeding are held against them. The incident shows the government's firm stand on corruption.
