The Andhra Pradesh Government has appointed the Working Committee on the Abolition of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). The government has issued orders to appoint a committee with the secretaries of the five departments headed by the chief secretary.
The committee has a secretary of finance as the convener and the members of the Planning, School Education, Panchayati Raj and the medical department secretaries. The government has appointed Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney as the chairperson of the committee. The committee will study a report issued by the NP Tucker Committee.
The government has ordered the Working Committee to submit its report by June 30.
