Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will hand over 47,000 appointment letters on July 3 to the outsourcing staff selected through Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services (APCOS).

The Chief Minister had announced in the Assembly that Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services would be set up to recruit outsourcing staff in a transparent manner.

The main objective behind the initiative is to keep transparency in the recruitments and payments, and giving no room for middlemen or corruption. In addition, the state government will ensure to carry government policy of reservations in the recruitments, where 50 per cent reservations will be given to SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities in the outsourcing jobs. Fifteen per cent reservation for SCs, 6 per cent for STs, 29 per cent for BCs, and Minorities will be provided. Similarly, 50 per cent of outsourcing jobs will be reserved for women.

Through APCOS, all the outsourcing placements right from the housekeeping staff to security personnel, all the workforce from district to secretariat level will be recruited. Besides ensuring transparency, even their pay would be credited to the bank accounts on time with benefits like EPF and ESI.
