Awareness programme on single use plastic held in Bhimavaram
Students of MRKZP High School participated in an awareness programme on damage to environment from single use plastic on Thursday.
Bhimavaram: Students of MRKZP High School participated in an awareness programme on damage to environment from single use plastic on Thursday. The students displayed posters which highlighted the ill-effects of single use plastics in our life.
Addressing the students, in-charge head master R Simhadri Rao said that the students should take up the cudgels against the modern day 'Narakasura' in the form of single use of plastics. Unless people show unity in combating the menace, it would create havoc for future generations.
Telugu teacher and National Green Core award winner P Sai Babu expressed concern that we had turned insensitive even though the single use plastic waste occupying our surroundings. If allowed them to accumulate, they would engulf our very lives, he warned.
