Vijayawada: Battina Srinivasulu taking charge as the commissioner of police here on Monday said that he has good understanding of the problems in the city. He said that he would improve night patrolling keeping an eye on the movement of anti-social elements.
He said that he would concentrate on the growing menace of cybercrimes.
He requested the cooperation of the people for effective policing. Meanwhile, the outgoing commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that it was a very good experience to work in the city.
Earlier on Saturday, the government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a crucial decision on issued a notification over the reshuffle of IPS officers in the state. As there are anti-social elements going on in Vijayawada, it remains to be seen whether the situation comes to peace with the new Commissioner of police in in charge.
