Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey said that the aim of the Union government is to rid the country from tuberculosis.

Vizianagaram: Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey said that the aim of the Union government is to rid the country from tuberculosis. On Sunday, he visited E-PHC at Rajiv Nagar Colony and interacted with staff there and enquired about the services available.

He questioned on the telemedicine system and how the patients are being received and treated. Later, he said that the Union government was extending health services to people at less cost.

The Centre would introduce new initiatives to provide quality health services to people. "Our aim is to make India free of TB by 2023. The services at the urban health centre here are good and people are also happy with these centres," he said.
