Rajamahendravaram: BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav has underlined the need to dethrone corrupt and inefficient government of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the elections. Speaking to reporters at the party office here on Sunday, he alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government had misused the Central government's funds on a large scale and respective departments would enquire into it after the elections.

Not even a single building was constructed in Amaravati for last five years though the Centre sanctioned funds, but Naidu was claiming that he had developed Hyderabad city, he pointed out. Corruption was increased at all levels in the State and Chandrababu miserably failed to deliver goods to people as promised in last elections, he added.

Ram Madhav hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to power again as the government infused new hope and confidence among the people of the country. He expressed confidence that Narendra Modi's charisma and development of the country during the last five years would benefit the BJP in the elections.

Stating that Modi initiated several steps to combat corruption in the country, he said the Election Commission of India (ECI), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) were functioning on its own and the Central government not involved in their functioning. ECI complained to President of India Kovind against Governor Kalyan Singh which is a glaring example for its functioning, he said.

Why Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu avoiding CBI's enquiry on various issues in the State?, he questioned. He expressed confidence by 2024, the BJP would emerge as super power in the state. In Andhra Pradesh, he said Chandrababu Naidu was trying for hereditary rule for which the people are against it and the people have decided to whom they support in the historical elections. BJP MLC Somu Virraju, MP candidate P Satya Gopinadh and MLA candidate B Dutt were present.
