Collector appreciates state-level winners in Wushu
The Prakasam district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara appreciated the Wushu (Chinese Kung fu) players who won various medals at the state-level tournament, in his chamber on Tuesday.
Ongole: The Prakasam district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara appreciated the Wushu (Chinese Kung fu) players who won various medals at the state-level tournament, in his chamber on Tuesday.
The 6th state-level Wushu competition was held in BR Stadium in Guntur from July 20 to 21. The HCM Junior College student Koteswari won the gold medal in 70 kg category, G Sateesh Babu won silver in 90 kg category, Nagarjuna degree college student M Akhila won silver medal in 48 kg category, CSR Sarma Degree college student V Sara won silver in 52 kg category and Sri Harshini degree college student P Bhagyalakshmi won bronze in 45 kg category.
The medal winners met the collector on Tuesday and explained about the tournament. The collector appreciated them and wished to win more medals in the national level tournament scheduled at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh soon.
The additional joint collector Dr A Siri, STEP CEO and DSA ML Narasimha Rao, district chief coach B Srinivas, Wushu coach Ch Lavanya also participated in the meeting.
