The countdown has begun for the 2019 elections results in the state on 23 May. The EC has made all necessary arrangements for the votes counting.

Amaravati: The countdown has begun for the 2019 elections results in the state on 23 May. The EC has made all necessary arrangements for the votes counting.

The counting process will be carried out at 36 counting centers across the state. On Thursday the poll counting will begin at 8 am with the counting of postal ballot and service votes.

The counting of EVMs will start from 8:30 am. For the counting process, more than 25,000 staff will be participating. In most of the constituencies, 14 tables are arranged. In each constituency, 18 to 20 rounds will be conducted.

For the first time, the VVPAT slips will also be counted. For each Assembly segment, 5 VVPAT slips will be counted. For the counting of each VVPAT, it may take 1 to 2 hours.

A total of 1750 VVPATs will be counted across the state. If there are any votes differences between EVMs and VVPATs than the slips count will be considered as final.

The threefold security has been arranged at the counting centers. 15 companies of Paramilitary forces were deployed in the state.
