Eluru: The Jeelugumilli police have seized liquor bottles being transported from Telangana state at Jeelugumilli check-post. The police took driver of the vehicle in which the liquor was transported into custody.

The police were acting on the directives of District Superintendent of Police and Additional SP of Special Enforcement Bureau.

The police under supervision of Polavaram DSP were frisking the vehicles at the check-post when they found the liquor bottles in the four-wheeler.

Jeelugumilli Sub-Inspector K Viswanadha Babu registered a case and investigating.
