ENC Vice Admiral inaugurates Sainik School boys hostel in Visakhapatnam
The 129th Local Board of Administration (LBA) Meeting of Sainik School, Korukonda was held here on Wednesday.
Visakhapatnam: The 129th Local Board of Administration (LBA) Meeting of Sainik School, Korukonda was held here on Wednesday. Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain and Chairman of LBA visited the school to preside over the board meeting.
Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain was received by the School Principal Colonel Arun Kulkarni. He later inspected the Guard of Honour presented by the NCC cadets of the school's senior division. After the review of the Guard of Honour, he inaugurated a newly built boys' hostel on the campus.
During the meeting, the board members were apprised of the progress made by the school and the activities. The Principal, in his member secretary report, highlighted that the school had been consistently doing well in all fields with support rendered by all the stakeholders. The chairman and members expressed satisfaction over the overall development of the school. The chairman said that he would like to see the school scaling further heights with consistent performance of all staff members.
Lt Gen K Surendra Nath (Retd), representative of Principal Finance Secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh D Anjaiah, Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Vizianagaram R Rambabu, parent-member, U Satyanarayana, Executive Engineer (FAC), APEWIDC, among others attended the meet.
