Expert Committee submits a report on capital Amaravati, finds excess spending on projects
The Expert Committee has submitted an interim report to the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.
Amaravati: The Expert Committee has submitted an interim report to the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.
The Expert Committee, constituted by YSRCP government to examine and review the procedure of execution and grounding of the works and projects in all Engineering Departments, has submitted the report, sources in the Chief Minister's Office confirmed with The Hans India on anonymity condition.
The TDP government squandered about Rs 30,000 crore in the capital city construction, it pointed out.
When comes to the 70 percent completed projects and works in the Amaravati, the Committee reportedly left the decision on it to the state government will and wish.
It strongly recommended the state government to review each and every project that has been undertaken in the previous government at Amaravati capital city, sources informed.
The committee also found that majority of the constructions have been violating the rules and regulations. Committee informed to the Chief Minister that the government spent excess money on construction of the various projects in the Capital city.
Members in the Committee are including Abdul Basheer, Chief Engineer (Retd), L. Narayan Reddy, Retired Engineer-inChief, (Irrigation), P. Suryaprakash, structural and cost engineer, former president, Structural Engineers Association of India, P. Subbaraya Sharma, Retired Engineerin-Chief, (R&B), FCS Peter, Retired Engineer-in-Chief, (R&B), Adisheshu, Director (Retd) , APGENCO, ISN Raju, Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organisation (Retd). Chief Technical Examiner, Water Resources Department is convenor for the committee.
