IIIT Student tried to commit suicide
An Ongole IIIT student jumped off the college building from the fourth floor on Tuesday afternoon and the condition of the student is said to be critical.
Ongole: An Ongole IIIT student jumped off the college building from the fourth floor on Tuesday afternoon and the condition of the student is said to be critical. According to the sources, Bollikonda Lahari from Vissannapet in Krishna district is studying first-year PUC in IIIT Ongole.
As the campus of the IIIT Ongole is shifted recently from IIIT Idupulapaya in Kadapa to Rao & Naidu Engineering College campus in Ongole, she also shifted to Ongole and staying in the hostel. She is said to be jumped off from the fourth floor of the college building and suffered severe injuries head, spinal cord and hips.
The college management banned media entering the campus, but shifted the injured girl to Ramesh Sanghamitra hospital for treatment while informing the same to her parents.
