Jagananna Amma Vodi amount will be credited on January 9: AP minister Adimulapu Suresh
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said the list of Amma Vodi beneficiaries would be announced by the 26th of this month.
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said the list of Amma Vodi beneficiaries would be announced by the 26th of this month. He told the media on Wednesday that a list of candidates would be posted in the village secretariats, in which the unnamed eligible candidates could reapply after which the final list will be announced on the 30th. He said that on January 9, 2021, the Chief Minister would depositt Amma Vodi money into the accounts of parents.
Chief Minister YS Jagan has generously announced that Amma Vodi should also be given to private school students. It was clarified that the ownership of each school should abide by the orders given by the government and warned that strict action would be taken if the money was collected in the form of fees. Minister Adimulapu Suresh said that it was objectionable to link Amma Vodi's money to fees. He directed the schools to collect only 70 per cent of fees for the last academic year.
Amma Vodi provides Rs 15,000 assistance to mothers for sending her children to school up to Intermediate. However for various reasons, some of the beneficiaries names were not found in the list. With this, the government has given another chance to all such people to resolve the issue within the village secretariats.
