Minister Kodali Nani inaugurated the open house at the DSP office in Gudivada on Thursday during the commemoration week of the policemen. He said it was a good idea to educate students through open houses about the weapons used by the police. Through such initiatives, the remarks on the police department in the society will vanish, and the public will respect the police.

The minister said it is a pleasure to celebrate the commemoration week of martyrs being organised under the leadership of District SP Ravindra Babu. A voluntary donation of police officers, staff and students on weekends is appreciated. He said that the police are monitoring law and order. "Many policemen lost their lives due to the anti-social elements in the past such things should not be repeated." Nani asserted.

A real tribute to police martyrs is to celebrate the commemoration day every year. Minister Kodali Nani recalled that for the first time, the police had announced a weekly holiday for the welfare of the police. The decision has come up in the wake of the chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy's poll promise.

In the seven day programme, today is the fourth day where the department organised awareness program on police duties.
