Reportedly asked Lakshmi’s famly to start activities and the TDP cadres in Nellore and Chittoor will support her
Nellore: TDP senior leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy discussed with the Panabaka family in Hyderabad the plans for launching the election campaign for the Tirupati bypoll. During his meeting with the family of former Union minister, he reportedly said the TDP leaders in all Assembly segments were ready to swing into poll campaign.
Though Panabaka Lakshmi had contested from Tirupati Lok Sabha (reserved) constituency in 2019, she failed to get support from all leaders of the party in the vast constituency. YSRCP wave also contributed to her defeat in the polls. Now the sitting MLAs of all segments in the Lok Sabha constituency are from the ruling party.
Chandramohan Reddy suggested to Lakshmi's family members to start the activities in the constituency and the leaders from both the districts would support her. She is visiting Tirupati on Thursday for discussing with the party leaders and others on strategy for poll. She will also be going to meet the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu in a short while, sources said.
