Officials warned over irregularities in sand sale: Joint Collector
Revenue Department officials have been asked to give no room for irregularities in sand sale in the district.
Eluru: Revenue Department officials have been asked to give no room for irregularities in sand sale in the district. Addressing the officials, Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy warned of stern action if they failed to maintain transparency in sand supply.
Addressing officials as part of Spandana programme on Monday, the Joint Collector said that the Revenue department officials have been assigned duties relating to sand reaches at Polavaram, Tallapudi, Velagapudi and Achanta. Until they receive further instructions, they continue in their duties, he said.
The Joint Collector directed them to maintain correct record of sales of sand and ensure no differences in closing stocks and opening stocks. Another Joint Collector Tej Bharat also spoke.
