Ongole: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organised a sensitisation programme on bank linkage for the Self-Help Groups (SHG) and Joint Liability Groups (JLG) for the non-government organisations at the Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute in Ongole on Tuesday.

The NABARD DDM V Venkata Ramana explained to the NGOs about the formation of the groups, loan eligibilities and issue of non-collateral loans as per the Reserve Bank of India policies. The LDCM Yugandhar Reddy, PDCCB CEO Siva Koteswara Rao, RUDSETI director GS Murthy, NGOs staff, and FPOs also participated in the programme.

Later, the NABARD DDM Venkata Ramana inaugurated the 30 days training programme for refrigeration and air conditioning, while the LDCM Yugandhar Reddy formally launched the computer accounting with tally training programme.

They also participated in the certificate distribution programme for the two-wheeler repair and mechanism batch. The institute director GS Murthy explained the salient features of their training programmes and the standards maintained at the RUDSETI. The FLCC Ankireddy, faculty, and trainers of the institute also participated in the programme.
