Kakinada: Cine hero and Jana Sena Parthy President Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday paid a visit to Kakinada in the wake of alleged attack on his party activists by followers of Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy recently.

Three days back, Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy abused Pawan Kalyan and Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu in foul language. Later, Jana Sena activists planned to take out a procession and attempted to lay seize to MLA's house protesting against his intemperate outbursts.

However, the followers of MLA allegedly thrashed JSP workers severely. The police took JSP political affairs committee member Pantham Venkateswara Rao (Nanaji) into custody and left him in the midnight of the same day.

Pawan Kalyan visited Nanaji's house and consoled him. He enquired about the incident. Jana Sena leaders told him that the police booked cases against Jana Sena activists who were beaten up in the attack but no cases were filed against the YSRCP activists. The Jana sEna president warned the YSRCP activists that the Jan Sena party members would not remain as silent spectators if such attacks were continued in future. He said that the JSP would launch an agitation to put an end to such atrocities.

Jana Sena leaders Tummala Ramesh and Settibathula Rajababu received Pawan Kalyan at the Visakhapatnam airport and accompanied him to Kakinada. On the way, the Jana Sena activists and Pawan Kalyan fans welcomed him by raising slogans in his support, showering flowers and garlands on him.
