Prepare plan to prevent rainwater logging: Minister Vellampalli Srinivas
Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas has instructed VMC Commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh to prepare a plan and estimate for a permanent solution to clear rain water logging on the roads.
Vijayawada: Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas has instructed VMC Commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh to prepare a plan and estimate for a permanent solution to clear rain water logging on the roads.
The minister along with the VMC officials visited RR Apparao street, Vinukondavari street, Subbaramaiah street, Geetha Mandir, Kaleswararao Market and other places in One Town on Monday.
The locals complained to the minister that even after a small spell of rain, drain water would overflow at Nehru Bomma centre. The residents elaborated their tale of woes because of delay in underground drainage works at Apparao street and UCD connection works at Convent street.
The minister took a note of the issues and directed the concerned department officials to prepare a plan and estimate for a permanent solution to these problems. Chief Medical officer Dr Ajun Rao, EE Koteswara Rao, Assistant city planner Jagadish, YSRCP leaders and others were present.
