Prepare summer action plan to solve the water problem: Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar
District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Thursday directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan for summer to overcome drinking water problem.
Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Thursday directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan for summer to overcome drinking water problem.
He addressed a meeting with the officials from the Collectorate in Guntur city. Speaking on the occasion, he directed the officials take steps to fill up the drinking water tanks before closing the canals.
He suggested them to set up motors wherever there is difficulty in supplying water with gravity and instructed the officials to supply with water tankers where pipelines were not laid.
He suggested them to take up repair works to the bore wells and dig new bore wells. He asked them to supervise drinking water supply in Gurazala and Dachepalli Nagara panchayats. He instructed them to speed up works taken under Amruta Scheme and set up transformer at Undavalli head water works and take up necessary repairs.
Rural Water Supply department superintendent engineer R Lakshmipati, Irrigation SE Babu Rao, CPO Murthy were among those participated.
