TDP leader says the government has no right to ask SEC to postpone elections and it is against to the Constitution

Rajamahendravaram: TDP state general secretary demanded the State Election Commission (SEC) to conduct local body elections with fresh election notification.

According to Krishna, YSRCP government intentionally posing problems to SEC relating to conduct of local body elections.

Because of increasing anti-incumbency factor, the government is not coming forward to conduct elections. The government is showing coronavirus reason for postponement of the elections. But how it opened the schools, he questioned.

Moreover, YSRCP leaders conducted Padayatras without masks and maintaining physical distance, he alleged. It is not good on the part of YSRCP government to confront with SEC. The people are watching the government's attitude in this regard, he said.

The government has no right to ask SEC to postpone elections and it is against to the Constitution, he said.
