Rajamahendravaram: People paying price for electing Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said TDP state president K Atchannaidu
Sees strong anti-incumbency throughout the state
Rajamahendravaram : People have been suffering for the last four years for their mistake of voting for Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2019 elections, said TDP state president K Atchannaidu.
In his speech at the inaugural of Mahanadu here on Saturday, Atchannaidu said that the this Mahanadu assumes importance as the TDP which completed 42 years, is organising centenary celebrations of NTR as part of Mahanadu. Praising party national president N Chandrababu Naidu, he said that AP witnessed golden period during Naidu’s from 2014-2019 tenure. Under efficient rule of Chandrababu Naidu the state overcame financial hurdles despite Rs 16,000 crore revenue deficit. However, the TDP failed to publicise its welfare schemes.
Atchannaidu said Jagan resorted to false propaganda on TDP and enacted ‘Kodi Katti’ dramas to gain people’s sympathy. He alleged Jagan even murdered his own uncle Vivekananda Reddy to gain power. “Jagan failed to do any benefit to AP even after getting majority of 151 seats. Though he has been harassing TDP leaders for the past four years, the party is fighting for the cause of people. Jagan Mohan Reddy is harassing even senior leaders like me. The unflinching efforts of TDP leaders despite harassment are going to result in Chandrababu Naidu coming to power in the coming elections,” he said.
The TDP state chief felt that there was opposition against Jagan government throughout the state. He alleged that Jagan was carrying out false propaganda posing as champion of poor. While the assets of 28 CMs shown in the election affidavits stand at 508 crore, Jagan Mohan Reddy alone owns Rs 510 crore, he said, adding that Jagan should answer how he amassed such a huge wealth. Criticising Jagan’s claim that he is poor man, said that Jagan owns huge bungalows throughout the country. He said people of north Andhra need migration-free north Andhra and not state capital.
Referring to Amaravati house sites distribution, he said TIDCO houses constructed by TDP government were kept idle for the past five years.
Atchannaidu said Jagan is afraid of increasing anti-incumbency, his name cropping up in CBI charge sheet in Vivekananda murder case and probable arrest of Avinash Reddy.
