The Craft Council of Andhra Pradesh has organised demonstration of basket making with bamboo and palm leaves at ZP High School on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the entire process brings joy and inspiration to the team.

She said that with the grant received from the School of Secondary Education, the AP Crafts Council has started crafts education in schools last year through its arm "Krishna Kamalam Praaveenya Vikasam". It has arranged clay molding workshops and demos in Kondapalli toys for various schools in Vijayawada.

She said that these programmes give opportunities to form healthy hobbies or can stir the young minds to become professionals. "Today's world needs creative minds. We may brush aside these small programmes. But it is incremental benefits in the long run are phenomenal," she said.

Crafts council of Andhra Pradesh is serious and would be continuing the workshops, demos and visits to few schools in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam with the support received from the School of Secondary Education, she added.
