Tirupati Red Sander Anti Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) Police have seized 30 Red Sander logs in Seshachalam forest near Srivari Mettu on Saturday early hours.
Tirupati: Tirupati Red Sander Anti Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) Police have seized 30 Red Sander logs in Seshachalam forest near Srivari Mettu on Saturday early hours.
According to Task Force SP Anjaneyulu, RSI Vasu and DRO Narasimha Rao team started a combing operation to catch smugglers in the forest around 1.30 am. During combing task force cops noticed that above 50 smugglers were moving with red sander logs in the dark in the forest near Srivari Mettu and warned the smugglers to surrender.
In woke up with police warnings smugglers discarded the red sander logs there and flew from the spot. Police carried the red sander logs from top of the hills to road point. In the case police arrested a smuggler Ravindran hails from TamilNadu state Thiruvannamalai district. The case investigation is on.
