Tirupati: The five-year TDP rule is a total failure, full of corruption, misuse of power and funds said a resolution adopted in the State executive meeting of BJP held here on Sunday.
BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana presided over the meeting which adopted various resolutions. The party decided to set up a committee for conducting `Praja Dharbar' where the charge sheet will be issued against the ruling TDP.
MLCs Somu Veerraju introduced the resolution on issuing charge sheet against TDP government which was seconded by another MLC Madhav and it was approved by the executive.
Saying that the party charge sheet will puncture tall claims of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the BJP leader urged the party cadres to make the programme a success.
In a resolution, the State party unit hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for the upliftment of backward classes and to the poor. It referred to the constitutional status to national BC Commission, 10 per cent reservation to EBCs and also various initiatives for development of agriculture including the Krishi Samman Yojana. A resolution was also adopted appreciating the Centre for its bold steps against terrorists including surgical strikes on terrorists' bases in Pakistan.
The executive also lauded the Centre for slashing GST from 8 per cent to 1 per cent on the housing for middle income groups, hiking income tax limit to Rs 5 lakh for the benefit of middle-class sections. The party leaders urged the activists to take up campaign immediately for the election as the election will be held in Andhra Pradesh in April second week.
