Tirumala: The Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad Executive Committee meeting headed by TTD Trust Board Chief Y V Subba Reddy discussed on various issues related to the wing at Annamaiah Bhavan here on Wednesday.

The meeting decided to enhance daily payments to a group of 15 who render Nagara Sankeertana and Akhanda Harinama Sankeertana at Tirumala from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000. (per person Rs 200 will be paid instead of Rs 100) It also decided for felicitation to tradition folk Bhajan Group leaders (Gurus) every year, pay to and fro bus fares to Bhajan parties even the hamlets are void of any bus facility based on the per kilometre tariff and also agreed to pay Rs 200 per person, belonging to SC, ST, BC communities who undergo training in Archakatva at SVETA in Tirupati. It also consented to provide financial aid to the Brahmana Boys Traditional and Jyothisha school set up by Kanchis Kamakoti Peetham at Karvetinagaram in Chittoor district.

To promote tradition Bhjan culture, HDDP approved to provide Bhajana equipment to 100 temples out of 500 constructed jointly by the TTD and AP Endowments in remote areas on a trial basis.

A team of experts will visit the temples to observe the functioning following which the facility will be provided to other temples also.

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy, JEO P Basant Kumar and HDPP secretary Prof Rajagopalan were present.
