Tirupati: Commissioner of Municipal Corporation PS Girisha appealed to the Chamber of Commerce Association leaders to close all the shops on Sunday, March 22 as part of Janatha curfew.

Addressing the business people at a meeting here on Friday, the Commissioner said that all the shops, theatres and hotels must be closed on that day from 7am to 9 pm. Malls and theatres should be closed till March 31 as per government instructions. If anyone violates the rule, the civic body will take action against them, he added.

He further stressed that every office management should arrange hand sanitizers for use of visitors and their staff. Commissioner appealed the all merchant associations to extend the cooperation in combating against the coronavirus. Additional Commissioner D Haritha, Tirupati Chamber of Commerce President Manjunath and merchants were present.
