In a surprising incident in Kadapa district, a clash broke out between two groups in YSRCP party due to the ongoing power fight between the leaders in the Kamalapuram constituency. These clashes have come to light during the New Year celebrations. A dispute has arisen between YSRCP leaders at Payasampalli of Veerapanayani Palli Mandal. With that, Sudhakar Reddy and Maheshwar Reddy groups attacked each other with swords and stones.

However, four people were seriously injured when YSRCP leader Sudhakar Reddy opened fire on rivals with his licensed revolver. The injured were shifted to Proddatur Government Hospital. The controversy seems to have started with the posts posted on social media during the New Year celebrations. Sudhakar Reddy and Maheshwar Reddy had an altercation over posts on social media.

As the quarrel between the two escalated, both sides attacked with swords and stones. Meanwhile, Sudhakar Reddy opened fire with his licensed revolver. With that, a tense atmosphere was created in the village at once. Police pickets have been set up to prevent clashes in the village and the leaders of both sides were detained.
