Three persons were killed when a fire broke out early Friday morning in Sagarnagar, Visakhapatnam. However, the mystery has been busted by the police as a suicide.

According to the preliminary evidence, the family was in serious jeopardy, which led them to take the final plunge. The incident occurred in Sagarnagar after midnight on Thursday. The house was burnt to the ground, and three people were burnt alive.

According to a police report, Umamaheshwara Rao, who is retired as an RTC employee, is staying with his daughter Lavanya (32) and son Satishchandra (28) at 101 house in Sagarnagar HIG-2. At 3.00 am on Friday, a massive explosion occurred in their home. The people reached there and knocked on the doors. When firefighters were informed, they arrived and broke the door and found Umamaheswara Rao, Satishchandra and Lavanya were caught in the fire and tried to get them out. To their destiny, Satish and Lavanya died on the spot while Umamaheshwar Rao breathed his last on Friday morning while undergoing treatment at KGH. The police registered a case and found two gas cylinders in the house. They gathered details from their neighbours and informed their relatives.

However, the key point of the investigation came to light. Police have found a small diary under a water bottle in the house. Upon seeing this, the police were shocked by the suicide note where the whole plan of committing suicide is written. The police concluded that they had committed suicide all week long. When the cylinder leaked, and the flame was lit, the fridge compressor exploded with a loud noise. The explosion broke through the doors and windows of adjacent homes.

Umamaheshwara Rao has been living with children for two years in this house in Sagarnagar after the death of his wife about five years ago. Lavanya and Satish Chandra have completed engineering. It seems that Umamaheshwara Rao did not send the daughter to a job and son is suffering from a mental problem. It is suspected that the family committed suicide due to financial difficulties and poor mental health of the child.
