Vizianagaram turns into red zone with 11 COVID-19 cases in a day
The district Vizianagaram turned into red zone from the orange as the number of cases is escalated abnormally in a single day.
Vizianagaram: The district Vizianagaram turned into red zone from the orange as the number of cases is escalated abnormally in a single day. 11 migrant workers, who have been in the observation at S.Kota quarantine centre are tested positive on Tuesday.
Dr.P.Ramana Kumari, district medical and health officer informed that the migrant's workers reached here from Nellore, Krishna, Guntur districts are admitted at S.Kota quarantine centre and their health condition is being closely observed by the staff. Their swab samples are collected and sent to the lab for testing and on Tuesday we got the result as positive.
All the 11 are admitted at Nodal hospital MIMS, Nellimarla and providing treatment. With this abnormal spike of positive cases, the entire district administration is alerted and started strict measures in containment areas.
With this, the number of active cases is escalated to 13 at MIMS and two more are at Visakhapatnam. Four infected are discharged from the same hospital after getting recovery from the Corona infection.
