YSR Congress party MPs met Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal on Monday. MPs Mithun Reddy, Avinash Reddy, N Reddappa and Talari Rangayya were among those who met the union minister. After the meeting, Mithun Reddy told the media that they met the minister on the behest of Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy.
They took to the attention of the minister about the shortage of onions at Krishnapuram and requested the minister to export the onions to the state. "The farmers are waiting for the export of onions from November, " Mithun Reddy asserted to union minister.
Mithun Reddy recalled the letter written by CM YS Jagan to the Center regarding the export of onions. He said that Piyush Goyal has responded positively to their request.
