Hyderabad: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower utility, has been conferred with the CBIP Award-2020 for 'Outstanding performing utility in hydro power sector'. Ratish Kumar, CMD, NHPC, along with MK Mittal, Director (Finance), and Janardan Choudhary, Director (Technical), received the award from Rattan Lal Kataria, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, at a function held in New Delhi on Wednesday.
NHPC has bagged this award for outstanding contribution to the nation by use of latest technologies and smart solutions for efficient operation of hydro power plants in the country.
Thus playing a vital role by contributing to environment, society and economy aspects, besides helping for development of hydro power in the neighbouring countries as well, said Ratish Kumar.
