Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan Not On Star World Anymore?

Karan Johar is a well known Bollywood filmmaker. That apart he is also a good talk show host. His own production Koffee With Karan where he interviews celebrities and gossips in the industry is a huge hit and also garners record TRPs for Star World on which the popular TV chat show was being aired.

However, if one wants to watch episodes of the show in future then you may not be able to watch it on Star World.

As per the buzz doing the rounds, the channel may shut shop because of the low TRPs. The blame for this sudden change also should go to the pandemic which has brought all the new productions to a grinding halt.

Also, without advertisements, the channel is believed to have run into losses. So if a report making the rounds is any indication, then all the shows on Star World including the Bollywood filmmaker's famous show Koffee With Karan may go the OTT way.

Earlier, OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix and others would have reruns of popular TV series or movies already released in theatres. But now OTT is giving theatres and television channels a run for their money.

Even filmmakers are not complaining. In fact in a few cases, a movie has made better business via digital release than it would have made at the box office.

Anyway it's a win win situation for both filmmakers and the OTT platforms on which the movie is aired. So all the shows earlier aired on Star World may premiere on Hotstar Special.
