The maestro's official YouTube channel 'Ilaiyaraja official' is already seeing millions of hits from his fans worldwide, who never seem to tire of the musical scores of their favourite composer. On June 2, there was an announcement made about Raja planning to launch an OTT channel called 'Isai OTT'.
Nearly ten days after the news, it is now reported in the Tamil media that Ilaiyaraja is contemplating to include the videos of his re-recording works for the Kamal Haasan film 'Hey Ram' which was released in 2000. This would form part of his first episode for the web series platfor.
This alternate historical film produced by Kamal was 210 minutes long and was a multi-lingual production. Known Hindi film stars like Shahrukh Khan and Atul Kulkarni performed for the film which did not do well as expected when released. 20 years later, it is considered one of the most powerful voices to have presented an alternate opinion to the freedom struggle saga of India.
