Amidst heavy expectations and controversies, Ram Gopal Varma directorial Lakshmi's NTR has hit the screens last Friday. The movie was released worldwide, except in Andhra Pradesh as the High Court has given the orders to stall the film's release in the state.
Meanwhile, the film has opened well in all the areas of Telangana and in the overseas as well, all thanks to the hype it created ahead of the release. It has collected about $243,720 in the US until now, which is the highest in the career of Varma. It is also doing well in the Nizam area.
RGV, along with producer Rakesh Reddy, is trying to release the film as soon as possible in Andhra Pradesh as well. There is no doubt that it will open big in Andhra region also. Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma is now focusing on his next film, Sasikala, which is based on the life of late actress and politician, Jayalalitha.
