The live animation remake of 1994 cult film The Lion King was released all over the world last Friday with the same title. In India, the film was dubbed into multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Surprisingly, all these versions are performing well in their respective domestic markets.
The Lion King Telugu version featured the voices of several celebrities like Nani, Ravi Shankar, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmanandam and Ali. This stellar star cast behind the dubbing brought more craze towards the film. According to the latest buzz, The Telugu version became the first-ever dubbed film to get more collections than Hindi and English versions in the Nizam area.
It seems that on this Sunday, the Telugu version collected double the amount of what it earned on the release day. On the whole, the success of dubbed version gave Disney a new high and we can expect more stars being roped in from next time to build up the craze on the film.
