This Navratri while every woman gears up to dress brightly for the evening of Garba and dandiya, lets hear it from a few youngsters on the Gujarati way to festive wear

Navratri, the nine days of celebrations are all about fasting and puja. On the sidelines they are also about Garba nights and Dandiya evening where peopel of all ages turn out in big numbers, in colourful outfits making for a great community event.

Shreya Shah, who is a student at Hyderabad mentioned that these nine days are about devotion and also celebrations that include elegancy in portraying the traditional outfit.

"The evening prayers that are performed are truly the colourful and cheerful ones; we get to wear the traditional 'Chaniya Choli' along with kamarband, baliya, necklace and odani.

This traditional outfit gives the feel of a festive vibe whenever I wear and dance garba."

Talking about the changing trends and with so much more to choose from this festive season Urja Kothari from Gujarat shares, "This time Navratri is going to be different because the trends and options.

This year we girls have much to choose like dothi and kurta, Chaniya Choli in both bright and simple colours. Pairing them up with heavy jewellery and long earring is something these outfits get their charm from."

Aneri Shah from Hyderabad loves to experiment with her outfits and the jewellery. "I always make sure that I pair a traditional outfit with metal jewellery which is always trending.
