Wheelathon a Cycling & Marathon events an Alumni student led initiative flagged off by. Divyacharan Rao, Dy Commissioner of Police, Md. Tajuddin Ahmed Addl. DCP Traffic, DinakarBabu Vice Chairman & Managing Director SATS, Jaahnavi Mountaineer & Motivational Speaker, M Komaraiah Chairman, S Sunitha Rao, Principal, Vice Principal, Nandita Sunkara of Delhi Public School Nacharam.
Wheelathon was started with the motto 'Safer, Greener, Fitter' Hyderabad, promoted the culture of cycling to express support to the under privileged sports enthusiasts.
However, since its inception in 2015, it diversified into various themes concerning Drug & Smoke free city, Wheeling for Greening and Sustainabilityover the past 4 years. And the theme for this year, 2019 "Save Water" in all means justifies the set goal.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed schools to ensure that every student saves one liter of water every day at home and school.
