Gram Panchayat elections are declared in Karnataka which will be held in two stages. All the political parties are now heading towards village politics. Sandalwood actor Upendra who is the founder of Uttama Prajakeeya Party has spoken about these elections and has set guidelines as to how his party can contest in this election.

According to him, anyone can contest from this Party for the elections. One need not be necessarily a member of Uttama Prajakeeya Party. But Upendra has released a Manifesto and has requested the candidates to show the Manifesto and seek votes. After winning, the candidates has to follow and act according to the manifesto.

Upendra has also reiterated that no money must be spent on canvassing during elections as per the policy of his party.

Nominations for this election will start from December 11, for the first phase of elections. Polling for the first phase is on December 22, while polling for the second phase will be on December 27. Results will be announced on December 30.

It remains to be seen if Uppi's party will get lucky and do well in the Gram Panchayat elections.
