Solar eclipse (Surya Grahan) timings in India LIVE updates: All set for the solar eclipse (Surya Grahan) today time on June 21 where the Sun, Moon and Earth would be conjunction with moon in the middle stopping the sun rays from entering the earth. The conjunction would be with partial, full or annular depending on the alignment. However, the alignment would be different in a different place due to the earth being spherical in shape. The solar eclipse starts at 9.15 to 15.04 on Sunday where people are advised not to watch the eclipse with a naked eye instead of using special goggles to see the eclipse. The eclipse is likely to be witnessed mostly in Asia, Africa, the Indian Ocean, parts of Europe and Australia.

    Solar eclipse 2020 live updates: People in Chennai will be able to witness the partial solar eclipse from 10.22 am to 1.41 pm. About 34 per cent of the disk of the sun will be covered by the moon at the maximum eclipse. In other cities of Tamil Nadu, like Vellore and Coimbatore, people can witness the eclipse a few minutes earlier.
