Bathukamma prizes given away

Patancheru: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy lauded the 'Bathukamma' festival as reflective of the Telangana culture and traditions. He was addressing the public representatives at the 'Bathukamma' festivities organised by MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Sunday evening at Sakhi Cheruvu, in the presence of a large number of women and MLC V Bhupal Reddy.
Local women who colourfully decorated the 'Bathukammas' joined the festivities. The three best 'Bathukammas' were given prizes of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs5,000 respectitely. Besides, 10 women were given 10 consolation prizes of saris. Noted TV personality Bithir Sathi and Komaram and his team were special attraction.
