Ameerpet (NSS): Cheneta Chaitanya Vedika is organising it's 29th Chenetha Santha – Handloom Weavers' Market, at Nagarjuna Nagar Community Hall here from July 12 to 14. The Vedika is a non-profit, non-registered platform created to promote the cause of the handloom weavers. It has been organising a regular market called Chenetha Santha for the weavers once in 2 months in Hyderabad since January 2015, to enable weavers to have direct access to consumers so that it can help them enhance their sales and benefit them directly.

Why handloom? It doesn't use electricity. It is an eco-friendly fabric, and only natural fibres are used. They are good for health and good for the environment besides increasing livelihoods.
