Comments against SC categorisation slammed
President of Telangana SC Beda, Budaga, Jangalu Hakkula Dandu Thoorpati Hanmanthu criticised Mala Mahanadu leaders who have passed comments against SC categorisation.
Baghlingampally: President of Telangana SC Beda, Budaga, Jangalu Hakkula Dandu Thoorpati Hanmanthu criticised Mala Mahanadu leaders who have passed comments against SC categorisation.
He was speaking at a meeting of the association here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Thursday. Hanumanthu said most of the SC castes and sub-castes such as Beda and Budaga have remained underdeveloped even after 70 years of independence. He said that the development of these castes could be done only by giving reservations to them on the basis of their population, he said.
About 57 sub-castes in Madiga community and intellectuals from Mala community have been fighting for SC categorisation but a few selfish leaders of Mala Mahanadu are opposing categorisation, he said. Only categorisation could do justice to 57 sub-castes, he said. Hanumanthu denounced the Mala Mahanadu leaders who criticised union minister Kishan Reddy for his support to the cause.
The founder of the association, Chintala Rajalingam, Greater Hyderabad president Thoorpati Krishna, general secretary Ippa Janardhan, state publicity secretary Ippa Sathyanarayna, state vice president N Dasharath, Thoorpati Sitaramulu and others attended the meeting.
