National Institute of Smart Government (NISG), in collaboration with Cyber security Centre of Excellence, is conducting a six-day workshop starting from July 29 on Internet of Things Security (IoT). IoT is the new revolution where ecosystem of connected physical objects is accessible through the internet.

Gachibowli: National Institute of Smart Government (NISG), in collaboration with Cyber security Centre of Excellence, is conducting a six-day workshop starting from July 29 on Internet of Things Security (IoT). IoT is the new revolution where ecosystem of connected physical objects is accessible through the internet.

According a press statement here, the IoT workshop will be inaugurated by Srinath Chakravarthy, Vice-President, Capacity Building & Knowledge Management at National Institute of Smart Government. Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence and Intel are the knowledge partners for this workshop. Research firm Gartner predicts a total of 20.4 billion connected things in use worldwide by 2020.

In this regard, Dr Sriram Birudavolu, CEO, Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, will deliver a talk on the importance of securing the Internet of Things. Subsequently, Dr Padmaja N, DGM – CBKM, NISG will introduce the different topics to be covered at the workshop.

This workshop aims to cover what, why and how of IoT. It gives a clear understanding of IoT platform, its reference architecture, introduction to information and cyber security etc. The training will also cover IoT security, networks, protocols, analytics, cloud platforms, mobile apps, user cases, case studies and more. CoE has also arranged for demo of IoT security product from start-ups.
