Garbage not cleared after Sunday market

Yousufguda: In the absence of a proper garbage management system, especially during Sunday markets, residents are anxious about hygiene on the market premises.

Managing cleanliness in the market will be a challenge, if the GHMC does not address the situation at the earliest, as the market generates tones of garbage every week and the quantity doubles during festive season.

Responding on the garbage left unattended on roads, a vendor stated that, it not only poses health risks but also drives away customers from the market. Kiran, a resident of Yousufguda said that, uncleared garbage has been a concern every week. Garbage is being dumped just on the roads and not cleared until next day, he said.
