Hyderabad: People have began celebrating Holi festival in Twin Cities. The youth are participating in the festival celebrations from the early hours of the morning. Especially during Holi celebrations, youth, young and old people all participate in Holi celebrations together. They enjoy the colorful festival by applying colors to each other. As a result, the entire city has turned into a riot of colors. Hyderabadis celebrate the festival with family, friends and relatives. On the other hand, Holi events were organized in Secunderabad, Gachibowli, Hi-Tech City and People's Plaza.

Organisers of events are supporting with DJs and cultural programs. Holi celebrations of Baldia workers were celebrated under the auspices of GHMC at Tarnaka, Secunderabad. Deputy Mayor Srilata Shobhan Reddy participated in these ceremonies. Meanwhile, Holi celebrations were celebrated in some parts of the city on Sunday.

It is to mention here that every year festival of Holi is celebrated on the full moon day of Falguna. Holi festival is also known as Holika Purnima. Holi buzz has started all over the country. On Sunday night, Kama Dahana programme was held grandly. It is customary to burn Kamudi on the eve of Holi festival. Valmiki caste people perform this burning ceremony. As a part of their rituals, Valmiki caste people celebrated these celebrations in a grand manner.
