LIC staff to stage protests today
The demonstrations will be held at all the branch offices in Hyderabad and Secunderabad divisions. The AIIEA said they demand that the Centre desist from the proposal to list LIC of India on the stock market.
Saifabad (NSS): In the wake of a call given by the All India LIC Employees' Federation, Mumbai, asking LIC employees to stage demonstrations on August 2 to register protest against the reported move of the Centre to divest its holding in LIC of India and public listing of LIC, the Insurance Corporation Employees' Union of Hyderabad division has decided to lodge a protest against the move to list LIC, hike the FDI limits and privatisation of public sector units, through lunch-hour demonstrations in front of LIC Divisional Office here.
