Patancheru: Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga asserted here on Friday that he would take up a 'Maha Deeksha' in two days along with 2,000 people in support of the RTC strike.

He was speaking after distributing 20 quintal rice to RTC workers provided by BJP leader Gadila Srikanth Goud, former Patancheru ZPTC member, at BHEL depot, while extending support to their 42-day-old strike.

Manda Krishna while hailing the resolve of the RTC employees advised them not to get dispirited despite facing many odds. He claimed that the Congress rule under Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was better than that of TRS dispensation of K Chandrashekar Rao, while referring to the chalo Tank Bund programme. While none was injured during the march during the Congress regime, several RTC employees had sustained serious bleeding injuries in the lathi charge resorted by the police.

The MRPS leader accused KCR of plotting right from the first day of the strike to break it. the plots included police firing. He said the IT raids on Kaleshwaram project or MEGA Krishna Reddy was a BJP plot to expose KCR's illegal assets. He said we were lagging behind in converting RTC strike as a people's movement, while asserting that in the coming days it would be intensified by united political parties. He pledged to back the RTC employees until their just problems were solved.

In his address, Srikanth Goud accused the TRS government of adopting time wasting tactics. He demanded steps by the government to immediately solve the RTC employees' problems. Among those present at the programme included leaders of BJP and RTC JAC.
