Rajendranagar: Lashing out at the TRS government for scaling down the budget by half to its previous figure, All India Majlis Inquilab-e-Millat (AIMIM) party leaders held that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has failed in his commitment towards the welfare of the Muslim community and even in releasing the funds earmarked during the last five years.

Describing reduction in outlay as a stark example of KCR's volte-face, president of Inquilab-e-Millat party Moulana Syed Taraq Quadri, in a press statement felt that KCR might have cut the size of the budget for current fiscal year by realising that minorities cannot be fooled henceforth. However, he expressed hope that at least the latest approved budget for current fiscal year would be fully released and utilised this year.

Ridiculing belated realisation of few Muslim organisations about the 'real face' of the KCR's administration, AIMIM party vice-president Moulana Syed Hamid Hussain Shuttari said, "These so-called Muslims organisations and leaders who helped TRS with the votes of minorities by extending support to the ruling party are now repentant over the loss caused to them and the community as well. How long will these politically immature leaders continue to inflict pain and damage to the State as well as Muslim community with their flawed decisions?"

"They had always compromised with the larger interests of the State and the community and continue supporting the government for berth in government bodies, boards and corporations," said Abdul Quddus Ghori, an advocate and party general secretary.

"Have they not realised during the last six years that KCR is fooling Muslims by duping them with welfare schemes? Are they not aware of illegal locking of State Waqf Board record room and the malfeasance in Wakf Board, un-fulfilment of promises made in election manifesto, promise of a prosperous life for Muslims, assurances of allocating sufficient funds for the development of Old city and funds to religious institutions?" asked Qavi Abbasi, another senior leader of the party.
